Date of birth

Local clock time at your birthplace

Pick from the list. For a small village, choose the nearest town.

Used for the heading, saving and the PDF. It stays in your browser.

We never send your birth date and time to our servers.

Enter your date, time and place of birth, and this calculator draws your natal chart: where the Sun, Moon and planets stood when you were born, as seen from your birthplace. You get the chart wheel, a table of positions, and short readings for your Sun, Moon and rising signs and for Mercury, Venus and Mars.

There is no account and no email field. The results also show the UTC offset used for your birth time, and you can correct it by hand if it looks wrong.

How to use the birth chart calculator

  1. Enter your date of birth.
  2. Enter your time of birth, from a birth certificate if you can, or mark it as unknown.
  3. Type the first letters of your birthplace and choose the right town from the list.
  4. Check the UTC offset shown with your results, and correct it if your birthplace kept a different time that year.
  5. Read your Sun, Moon and rising signs first, then the table of planets and houses.

What is a birth chart?

A birth chart, or natal chart, is a map of the sky for one moment at one place. Over a year the Sun appears to travel along a path called the ecliptic. Astrology divides that path into twelve 30-degree signs, and the chart records which sign each planet occupied when you were born.

It also records which part of the ecliptic was rising in the east and which part had reached its highest point in the sky. Those two points anchor the twelve houses, and they are why two people born on the same day can have quite different charts.

What you need to enter

Your date of birth, your time of birth and the town or city where you were born. The date fixes the planets. The time and place fix the rising sign and the houses, which change far faster.

The most reliable time is the one on a birth certificate or hospital record. A time a parent remembers is often rounded to the nearest quarter or half hour, which is fine for the planets but can shift the rising sign. For the place, the town is enough. If a small village isn't listed, pick the nearest larger town.

Why birth time and place matter

The sky turns a full circle every day, so a new sign crosses the eastern horizon about every two hours on average, faster or slower depending on the sign and your latitude. Twenty minutes can be enough to change the rising sign or move a planet into the next house.

The place matters in two ways. Its latitude and longitude set which part of the sky was on your horizon. Its time zone, including any daylight saving time that year, is how your local clock time gets converted to UTC, the time scale the astronomy uses.

If you don't know your birth time

Mark the time as unknown and the chart is set for local noon. The Moon moves 12 to 15 degrees a day, so its noon position is never more than about seven or eight degrees from where it was at your actual birth time. The Sun and planets move slowly enough that noon works for the whole day, unless one of them changed sign that day.

Without a time there is no reliable rising sign and no houses, so we leave them out. If your Moon is within a few degrees of either end of a sign, it could belong to the neighboring sign.

How to read your results

Start with the Sun, the Moon and the rising sign (the Ascendant). Roughly, the Sun describes core identity, the Moon emotional needs, and the rising sign how you meet the world. Each has a short reading on the results page.

Then look at the table. Each planet sits in a sign, which colors how it works, and, with a known birth time, in one of twelve houses, which point to areas of life such as home, work or relationships. A ℞ marks a planet that appeared to move backward at the time. Aspects are the angles planets make with each other, such as 90 or 120 degrees. In the wheel they show up as lines across the middle.

Why your chart may differ from other sites

Small differences between calculators are normal. Three causes cover most of them.

Time zone. Historical time zones and daylight saving rules are messy, and records before 1970 are less complete. We show the UTC offset we used so you can check it and enter a different one.

House system. We offer Placidus and Whole Sign. A planet can fall in the 10th house in one and the 11th in the other while keeping its sign.

Node. We use the true lunar node. Sites using the mean node can place it up to about two degrees away, occasionally in a different sign.

The arithmetic itself is rarely the cause. Every change to this calculator is checked against Swiss Ephemeris 2.10, a reference ephemeris used by professional astrology software, on 300 random charts from 1900 to 2049. In the latest run the Moon was never more than 13 arcseconds off and the true node never more than 18. Every other position, including the Ascendant and the house cusps, was within about 2. All of these are less than a third of a minute of arc, the smallest unit your results show. How accuracy is checked.

Your privacy

No sign-up, no email address, no account. We never send your birth date and time to our servers. The chart is calculated by code running in this page.

To look up your birthplace, the page downloads a small list of towns matching the first letters you type. That request contains no part of your date or time of birth.

Frequently asked questions

Is this birth chart calculator free?

Yes. You can see your full chart without paying, signing up or giving an email address.

Do you store my birth details?

We never send your birth date and time to our servers, so we have no copy of them to store. The calculation runs in your browser. The birthplace search downloads a list of town names from our site, and that request doesn't include your date or time.

What if I don't know my birth time?

Mark the time as unknown. We set the chart for local noon and show your planets and signs, but leave out the rising sign and houses, which depend on the exact time. If your Moon is near the edge of a sign, treat your Moon sign as uncertain.

Why is my rising sign different on another site?

Usually because of the time or the time zone. First check that you entered the same birth time on both sites, then compare the UTC offset we show with the one the other site used. A one-hour difference, often caused by daylight saving time, is enough to change the rising sign.

When should I change the UTC offset?

Only when you have a reason to think it's wrong: for example, your birthplace didn't observe daylight saving time that year, or local records show a different offset. Time zone data for births before 1970 is less reliable, so those are worth a second look.

What is the difference between Placidus and Whole Sign houses?

Placidus divides the sky by time, so houses come out unequal in size and don't line up with the signs. Whole Sign makes the sign on the Ascendant the 1st house, the next sign the 2nd, and so on, so every house is exactly one sign. Both are widely used. Try each and see which reading fits you better.

Which zodiac does this calculator use?

The tropical zodiac, which most Western astrologers use. Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac, currently about 24 degrees behind, so in a Vedic chart most of your placements fall one sign earlier.

Can a birth chart predict my future?

We don't use it that way. The readings on this site describe tendencies and themes for you to compare with your own experience. Treat them as prompts for reflection, or simply as entertainment.

Can I save my chart?

Yes, in this browser on this device. A saved chart isn't uploaded anywhere, and we never see it. To use your saved charts on another phone or computer, export them to a file and import that file there. Clearing your browser's site data deletes saved charts, so keep an exported copy if you want a backup.

Your signs at a glance: Sun, Moon, rising, Mercury, Venus and Mars

Aries

Sun in Aries

Aries Sun people tend to know themselves through what they start. Your sense of who you are may come from acting first, sorting out details later, and the clean feeling of a fast decision. You are often most yourself when something needs a first step and nobody else is taking it. Long middles are harder. Once the excitement fades, a project can start to feel like someone else's job. Which of your beginnings did you carry all the way through, and what kept you going?

Moon in Aries

With the Moon in Aries, feelings arrive quickly and want somewhere to go. Sitting with a mood for days rarely suits you. Doing something about it, even something small like a brisk walk or a blunt conversation, tends to settle you faster than talking it over. You may need room to be angry without anyone treating it as a crisis. When the heat passes it usually passes completely, which can confuse people who are still holding on to the argument.

Aries rising

Directness is usually the first thing people notice about Aries rising. People often read you as confident before you have said much, partly from the way you walk into a room and partly from your habit of answering before the question is finished. You approach unfamiliar situations by trying something and adjusting as you go, rather than studying them first. From the outside this looks bold. From the inside it may feel more like simple restlessness.

Mercury in Aries

You usually know what you think before the question is over. An Aries Mercury decides first and finds its reasons on the way, so you say the obvious thing in a meeting while others are still choosing their words. You would rather lose an argument quickly than win it slowly. Your first answer is honest. It isn't always the one you would have sent an hour later.

Venus in Aries

Attraction hits you fast, and you don't bother hiding it. With Venus in Aries, interest shows up as action: you send the first message, suggest the plan, buy the concert tickets before anyone has checked a calendar. A slow, coy courtship just feels like wasted time. Shopping is no different, right down to the impulse purchase you justify on the way home. The trickier stretch comes after the chase, once nothing is left to win and affection has to look more like staying put.

Mars in Aries

Mars in Aries moves first and sorts out the details afterward: you volunteer before the meeting ends, or sign up for a boxing class the night you first hear about it. You like a race, even one nobody else knew they were in. Your temper is quick, loud and short. Ten minutes after an argument you've moved on, and you're genuinely surprised when the other person hasn't.

Taurus

Sun in Taurus

A Taurus Sun builds a sense of self slowly and then keeps it. You may know who you are through what you can rely on: routines that work, a few trusted people, things made well enough to last. You can change a great deal, provided nobody rushes you. Others sometimes mistake that steadiness for stubbornness, and sometimes they have a point. The useful sorting job is telling apart the habits that still earn their place from the ones you keep only because they are familiar.

Moon in Taurus

The Moon in Taurus looks for comfort it can touch. Good food, a favorite chair, clean sheets, the same walk at the same hour: physical things often calm you more reliably than reassurance in words. You probably need a feeling to stay still long enough to understand it, so sudden changes of plan can unsettle you more than you let on. When upset, you may go quiet and dig in. A slow, practical task often gets the mood moving again.

Taurus rising

Taurus rising usually gives a calm, unhurried first impression. People may find you easy to be around and hard to read at the same time, since you rarely show a reaction until you have one you trust. You tend to approach a new job or group by watching for a while, learning the ground, and then committing. Quicker people can find your pace frustrating at the start. Later they tend to notice that once you decided, you didn't waver.

Mercury in Taurus

Ideas have to touch something solid before you trust them. With Mercury in Taurus, you learn by handling things, and following a recipe once with your own hands teaches you more than three videos about it. You think at your own pace and dislike being hurried toward a decision, especially by someone who talks fast. Once a view settles, it stays settled, which makes you steady in a debate and now and then impossible to move. You choose words carefully and rarely waste them. Friends who ask for your opinion get a considered one, even if they have to wait a day.

Venus in Taurus

Venus in Taurus is usually read as one of the most comfortable places for this planet, and the comfort is literal. You notice the weight of a good blanket, the gap between supermarket bread and bread from the bakery down the road, the way well-made shoes still look right years later. Care shows up as touch and presence: a hand on the back, a slow Sunday lunch, an afternoon of doing nothing much together. One excellent pan beats five cheap ones, and money spent on quality almost never feels wasted to you. You hold on to the people and places you care about.

Mars in Taurus

Slow to start and very hard to stop: that is the classic picture of Mars in Taurus. You don't rush, and pressure only plants your feet more firmly. Once you commit, though, you keep going long after others have lost interest, whether that means saving a little every month for two years or stripping and repainting every door in the apartment yourself. Irritation builds the same way. It takes a lot to provoke you, and people who mistake your patience for agreement can be caught off guard. When you finally say no, it is rarely an opening offer.

Gemini

Sun in Gemini

Curiosity is the engine of a Gemini Sun. You are often at your best mid-conversation, moving between three topics and finding links between them that surprise even you. Variety keeps you sharp, and a single long fixation can feel airless. Some people read this as scattered. More often you know a little about a lot because you never stopped asking. Look at which interests have stayed with you for years underneath the constant new ones; they say a lot about your core.

Moon in Gemini

Emotionally, a Gemini Moon needs to put things into words. Naming a feeling, talking it over with a friend or writing it down is often how you find out what you actually feel. Long stretches of silence can leave you restless instead of rested. You may also keep things light while you process, joking about something that clearly matters. People close to you do well to wait for the second or third version of the story, which is usually closer to the truth.

Gemini rising

With Gemini rising, the first impression is usually quick and talkative. You ask questions, pick up details and shift your tone to suit whoever is in front of you, so different people may describe you quite differently. Faced with something new, you tend to gather information from several directions at once and test a few approaches side by side. In unfamiliar settings this flexibility is an asset, even if colleagues sometimes can't tell which version of your opinion is the final one.

Mercury in Gemini

Twelve browser tabs, three message threads and a podcast at double speed sound like a normal afternoon to a Gemini Mercury. Your mind is quick, curious and easily bored, and it picks up facts, accents and jokes almost without trying. You can argue either side of a question and enjoy doing it, which confuses people who assume you mean every word. Finishing a book matters less than opening the next one. Talking is how you think, so you often work out what you believe halfway through a sentence.

Venus in Gemini

Good conversation works on you faster than good looks. A funny reply in the group chat can beat a fancy night out. You flirt by sending things: a meme, a song, an article you're sure they'll like. Variety keeps you interested. A sulky silence feels worse to you than a shouting match, which is at least talking.

Mars in Gemini

Words do most of your fighting. In a disagreement you ask sharp questions, spot the gap in someone's logic, or get the last line in the group chat before anyone else has finished typing. Effort comes in quick bursts and heads in several directions at once: four projects open, a new skill picked up for a week, a rebuttal drafted in your head while you cook. You can talk your way into and out of most situations. Boredom wears you out faster than hard work does.

Cancer

Sun in Cancer

A Cancer Sun often finds its identity through belonging: family, close friends, a home, a place that feels like yours. You may be the one who remembers birthdays, keeps old photos and notices when someone in the group has gone quiet. Care is a large part of who you are, and it comes with a strong instinct to protect. Under pressure that protection can harden into a shell. Who looks after you, and how easily do you let them?

Moon in Cancer

The Moon is traditionally at home in Cancer, and the need for emotional safety here is strong and specific. You likely need a private place to retreat to and a few people with whom you don't have to perform. Moods can shift with your surroundings. Memories carry a lot of feeling, so certain places and anniversaries may hit harder than you expect. When hurt, you may withdraw first and talk later. Being looked after in small, concrete ways steadies you.

Cancer rising

Cancer rising often comes across as warm but careful. People may sense your kindness before they feel they know you, because you take the measure of a room before relaxing in it. In a new situation you look for your people and set up a kind of home base first, then branch out. You notice early how others are feeling, which makes you good at calming a tense meeting and slower to say what you want yourself.

Mercury in Cancer

Astrology usually reads Mercury in Cancer as a mind that remembers through feeling. The date of an old argument fades, but you can recall exactly how one sentence landed and who went quiet afterward. Tone carries as much information for you as words, so a curt text from a friend can occupy your thoughts all evening. You learn most easily from someone who seems to care whether you follow. In conversation you approach hard subjects sideways, checking the mood before saying the real thing. People often tell you more than they meant to, because you listen as if the details matter. To you, they do.

Venus in Cancer

Affection, for you, often arrives as food: soup when someone is ill, leftovers packed into a container for a friend to take home. Venus in Cancer remembers how people take their tea and keeps a spare charger for the one who always forgets theirs. Your taste shows most at home, in old photos on the fridge, a chair you refuse to replace, a recipe handed down from a grandparent. Feeling safe with someone matters more to you than feeling dazzled. A careless remark from someone close can sting for days, though you may never mention it.

Mars in Cancer

With Mars in Cancer, anger rarely arrives head-on. It is more likely to show up as a cupboard closed a little too hard, an extra-polite reply, or a long silence on the drive home, because saying it outright feels too exposed. How much you get done shifts with how secure you feel, at home and at work. When someone criticizes your sister or your team, the hesitation disappears. Astrology traditionally reads this as a protective placement. You fight best from inside something you belong to, and hardest for the people who stood beside you.

Leo

Sun in Leo

Leo Sun identity runs on self-expression. You may feel most alive when making something that carries your own mark, whether a performance, a meal or a well-told story, and when somebody notices. Generosity comes easily, and so does loyalty to people who have been loyal to you. The wish for recognition is real and nothing to be embarrassed about. Trouble usually starts when it goes unmet and you begin pretending it isn't there.

Moon in Leo

A Leo Moon needs warmth and appreciation to feel secure. Being taken for granted can sting more than open criticism. You may feel best when you can show affection in big, visible ways and have it returned with similar enthusiasm. Play matters too: creative outlets, fun and a little drama can be how you work through a feeling. When upset, you may want to be noticed even while saying you want to be left alone. Sincere praise from someone you respect goes a long way.

Leo rising

Leo rising tends to make an entrance, intended or not. People notice how you carry yourself and may assume you are more outgoing than you feel. When a situation is new, you meet it with a show of confidence and a clear sense of how things ought to look, and you step into the lead if nobody else has. Behind the presence there is often real care about whether people like what they see, and a fair amount of effort to make sure they do.

Mercury in Leo

When you tell someone what happened at the post office, it comes with a setup, a pause and a punchline. Mercury in Leo is read as a warm, expressive way of speaking and a mind that thinks in stories. You learn fastest by explaining things to others, whether that's a work presentation or teaching a nephew chess. Saying an idea out loud makes it yours, so backing down from it in front of a room takes more effort than it should. Praise for your thinking means more to you than you let on.

Venus in Leo

Astrology pairs Venus in Leo with warmth that doesn't whisper. You like big gestures, giving and getting them: the surprise party, the birthday present chosen months ahead, the dinner where you pick up the bill and enjoy doing it. Loving someone includes being proud of them in public, and you'd like that pride returned. Your style leans toward drama, whether that's a statement coat or a carefully staged photo of the dessert. Being taken for granted hurts more than almost anything else. What you want from the people you love is fairly simple to name: notice the effort, and say so out loud.

Mars in Leo

You put your whole self behind what you do, and you'd like that to be seen. Mars in Leo acts with confidence and a bit of theater, from pitching the idea standing up to running the school fundraiser like opening night. Being talked over in front of others sets off your temper fast. A private apology helps. A public one, in front of the people who saw the slight, helps far more.

Virgo

Sun in Virgo

A Virgo Sun tends to define itself through usefulness and skill. There is a particular pleasure for you in fixing something that wasn't quite right: a schedule, a sentence, a process that wastes everyone's time. You notice the details others skip and often hold yourself to a stricter standard than you would apply to any friend. Competence matters to you more than applause. Now and then it is worth asking when good enough would genuinely be enough.

Moon in Virgo

The Moon in Virgo finds calm in order. Tidying a drawer, making a list or solving a practical problem for someone can be how you handle feelings that are harder to name. You may need to feel useful in order to feel settled, and you often show care through small favors instead of declarations. With nothing to fix, worry tends to circle. Some feelings don't need solving at all, and simply noticing them can be enough.

Virgo rising

Virgo rising usually reads as composed, observant and a little reserved. People may see you as capable before they see you as warm, partly because you listen closely and say less than you notice. Faced with something unfamiliar, you break it into parts, learn the rules and get one piece right before moving to the next. Early on, that method makes you the reliable one in the room, though it can also make you look more critical than you mean to be.

Mercury in Virgo

Few errors get past a Virgo Mercury. You read the instructions before assembling anything, ask the clarifying question that saves everyone an hour later, and spot the wrong total in a shared spreadsheet at first glance. Method is how you take things in: notes, categories, a sensible order. That analysis sometimes keeps running at 2 a.m., rechecking word by word something you said at work. Your humor is precise too, often one well-chosen word that sums up a whole weekend with the in-laws.

Venus in Virgo

Some people show love with roses. You are more likely to fix the wobbly shelf, renew their parking permit before it lapses, or remember which oat milk they actually drink. Venus in Virgo shows love through care and competence, and what you find beautiful follows suit: clean lines, good materials, nothing that tries too hard. You spot flaws quickly, in products and in people, and save the sharpest eye for yourself. A compliment on something you did well gets through to you. One about your looks tends to slide right off.

Mars in Virgo

Mars in Virgo puts its effort into doing things properly. When you are upset, you might clean the kitchen, reorganize a drawer, or rewrite a document nobody asked you to touch, because careful work steadies you. You arrive at a dispute with dates and examples, meaning to win on accuracy, not volume. Anger comes out as criticism: you meant a list of fixes, and the other person heard a list of faults.

Libra

Sun in Libra

For a Libra Sun, identity often takes shape in relation to other people. You may understand yourself best through conversation and partnership, and through a sense of fairness that nags at you when it is missing. You usually see two sides of a question, which makes you a good mediator and sometimes a slow decision maker. Beauty matters to you in practical ways, in how a room is arranged or how a message is worded. Your own preferences can get lost in all that weighing.

Moon in Libra

With the Moon in Libra, emotional balance depends heavily on your relationships. An argument left unresolved can sit on you for days, and you may need things to feel fair and pleasant before you can relax. You probably sort out feelings best with another person, talking until the picture evens out. There is a habit of keeping the peace by playing down your own reactions. Good company and pleasant surroundings restore you, and so does saying one honest thing you had been smoothing over.

Libra rising

To a stranger, Libra rising often looks polished and agreeable. People often find you easy to talk to, tactful and attentive to how things look, from your clothes to the tone of a group chat. In new situations you search for common ground and read what others want before showing your hand. You get along with a new group fast. The catch is that people may know your manners well before they know your opinions.

Mercury in Libra

Before you give an opinion, you have usually argued the other side in your head already. With Mercury in Libra, you think best in conversation and can see the reasonable point inside almost any position. That makes you the person friends call when two of them are fighting, and it also makes picking a restaurant strangely tiring. You notice how things are phrased, and you can deliver hard feedback so gently that people thank you for it. A harsh tone bothers you more than the disagreement itself. After everyone else has had their say, what do you actually think?

Venus in Libra

Fairness and beauty sit close together for you. A room with one crooked picture, a dinner where one friend did all the cooking, a bill split evenly when half the table only had water: each one feels lopsided. Venus in Libra brings a natural eye for proportion and a knack for making people comfortable. You enjoy partnership, in love and in work, and a museum, a meal or a weekend away is better with someone to share it. The cost is a habit of smoothing things over, which can mean agreeing to the film, the paint color or the sofa you never wanted.

Mars in Libra

Picking a fight is not your style. The traditional reading of Mars in Libra is action that checks with other people first. You weigh how a request will come across and whether there is a version everyone can live with, a habit that makes you persuasive and slow to decide. You get firm quickly when something is unfair, like a roommate who never does the dishes or a manager who plays favorites. Asking for something only because you want it is harder, and resentment can build quietly while you keep the peace. When did you last ask for something with no reason attached?

Scorpio

Sun in Scorpio

A Scorpio Sun builds identity out of depth. You may prefer a few close bonds to many casual ones, and one subject studied all the way down to a quick survey of many. Trust is earned slowly here and taken seriously once given. You notice motives, including ones people would rather keep hidden, while keeping much of your own life private. When you change, the change tends to be thorough. What would you show people if you felt completely safe?

Moon in Scorpio

A Scorpio Moon feels things fully. Emotional needs center on trust and honesty: you may need to know exactly where you stand with someone, and half-truths can bother you more than hard news. Hurt is slow to fade, and you might keep feelings private until you are sure someone can handle them with care. That intensity is also a resource. Time alone to sort through what you feel, plus one person who can hear all of it, tends to help.

Scorpio rising

Scorpio rising often gives an impression of intensity or reserve. People may feel observed when they meet you, or sense that you are holding something back, which you probably are until you know them. You approach new situations by watching the dynamics, working out who holds influence and keeping your own plans quiet. Your read on people is usually sharp. To others you may seem harder to approach than you actually are.

Mercury in Scorpio

Small talk loses you within minutes. Your mind goes looking for what sits underneath: the reason someone changed the subject, the clause buried on page eleven of the contract. Mercury in Scorpio thinks like an investigator. You ask the question others avoid, keep what you're told to yourself, and usually know more than you say. Pushed hard, you can find the one sentence that stings.

Venus in Scorpio

Casual is hard for you. Venus in Scorpio wants depth, so a pleasant date that stays on the surface barely counts. When you care about someone, you want to know them properly, hidden parts included, and the loyalty you give back is fierce. Trust is earned slowly and lost quickly. Astrology also links this placement with jealousy and a private streak around money. Few people get all of you, and the ones who do tend to know it.

Mars in Scorpio

Very little of your plan shows until you move. If you want a promotion, or the last word in an old family feud, you watch, wait and pick your moment, and then you commit completely. Half measures don't interest you: you are either all in or not involved. Anger runs deep and mostly out of sight, and a betrayal goes into a file that doesn't get deleted.

Sagittarius

Sun in Sagittarius

A Sagittarius Sun grows by exploring. Sometimes that means travel, but just as often it means a new subject, a big question or a personal philosophy you keep revising. Restlessness sets in when there is no open road ahead and nothing left to learn. Honesty comes naturally, at times bluntly, and rules nobody can explain test your patience. Freedom sits close to the center of who you are, including the freedom to change your mind.

Moon in Sagittarius

A Sagittarius Moon needs space and a sense of possibility to feel at ease. Feeling boxed in, whether by a schedule or by a relationship with no room to roam, can make you restless. You may process emotions by stepping back to see the bigger picture, or by finding something to laugh about. Optimism is a genuine strength here. The trade-off is a habit of moving on before a heavy feeling has been fully felt, so it helps to check in with yourself after the joke.

Sagittarius rising

Sagittarius rising looks open and friendly from the first hello, and usually up for anything. People may find you funny and easy to approach, and a little unpredictable, since you say what you think and change plans when something better turns up. You handle new situations by jumping in and learning on the way. Strangers often relax around you quickly. Details and follow-through may need more deliberate attention than first contact does.

Mercury in Sagittarius

Somewhere in most of your conversations, a bigger point is trying to get out. Mercury in Sagittarius goes straight for the meaning of things, which is why you are great company on a long drive and less reliable on where the car is parked. Much of what you know came from travel, strangers and whatever book grabbed you. Bluntness comes naturally, so a joke sometimes lands as a verdict, and a good story grows with each telling. You would rather be roughly right about something important than exactly right about something small, and you'll say so.

Venus in Sagittarius

A shared plane ticket can mean more to you than a bunch of flowers. Venus in Sagittarius is drawn to people who make your world bigger, whether through a strange hobby, a different background or a talk about philosophy that runs until 1 a.m. Honesty beats polish, and you can be blunt yourself. Money goes on trips sooner than things. Feeling fenced in, even by someone you adore, makes you restless. How much room do you need in order to stay close?

Mars in Sagittarius

Enthusiasm is what gets you moving. You throw yourself at whatever catches your interest. One year it might be a half-marathon, the next a new language or a road trip planned in an afternoon. Your arguments are usually about principle, and you can get heated over something that doesn't touch you at all, like the way a waiter was spoken to at the next table. A day stuck indoors leaves you short-tempered. Which of your current plans would still matter to you after the novelty wore off?

Capricorn

Sun in Capricorn

A Capricorn Sun tends to anchor identity in responsibility and long effort. Projects measured in years suit you: a craft, a role, a reputation built with care. You respect structure and are often the person who knows how things actually get done. Your humor is usually dry and shows up once people know you. Because self-worth can attach itself to achievement, try listing what you value about yourself that has nothing to do with output.

Moon in Capricorn

With the Moon in Capricorn, emotional security comes from feeling capable and in control. You may deal with feelings by getting on with things, keeping private struggles to yourself until they are sorted. Reliability matters to you, in others and in yourself, and taking on responsibility is one way you show love. Vulnerability can feel expensive. Letting one or two people see the unfinished version of you can be more of a relief than you expect.

Capricorn rising

Capricorn rising usually makes a serious, competent first impression. People may assume you are older or more established than you are and hand you responsibility early. Your approach to anything new is cautious and planned: learn the hierarchy, find out what is expected, then deliver. At first the reserve can come across as coolness. Once you know the ground is solid, you often loosen up considerably, and people meet a warmer, funnier side.

Mercury in Capricorn

A Capricorn Mercury says what needs saying and then stops. You think in plans and steps, and even your texts have a clear structure. Ideas earn your trust by proving they work. Your jokes are deadpan enough that new friends sometimes miss them entirely. Learning something new can feel slow at first, but what you learn, you keep.

Venus in Capricorn

Venus in Capricorn takes its time. You are unlikely to fall for someone on the first date, and you trust what people do over years more than what they say in week one. Showing up is the romance: the early airport pickup, next year's plans made together, being as reliable in year five as in month one. Your taste is classic and built to last, the watch you'd still wear in twenty years, the coat that cost too much and paid for itself. Around new people you can come across as reserved. The warmth is there, saved for those who stay long enough to see it.

Mars in Capricorn

Ambition comes with a timetable when Mars is in Capricorn. You go after a goal the way a careful builder handles a renovation, with a clear target, realistic steps and nothing wasted on drama. You can work toward something for years, doing the dull parts in order, and you tend to win by outlasting people instead of outshouting them. Even annoyed, you stay cool. A colleague may only realize how angry you were when you hand over a calm, written plan for fixing the problem. Resting is the harder skill. Stopping before the job is finished can feel to you like failing at it.

Aquarius

Sun in Aquarius

Aquarius Sun identity often rests on independence of mind. Thinking differently from the room, working on ideas that serve a group and questioning how things are usually done can all feel like home ground. Friendship can matter as much as romance, and a cause as much as either. You look at people and systems from a slight distance, which can read as detachment. That distance protects your judgment, and sometimes keeps people further out than you intend.

Moon in Aquarius

Feelings, for an Aquarius Moon, often need thinking about before they can be felt in full. You may want to understand an emotion, put it in context or discuss it almost as an idea, and emotional pressure can make you pull back. Friendship is often where you feel safest, and freedom inside close relationships matters a lot. Others sometimes take your calm for distance. Telling them when something has reached you can close that gap.

Aquarius rising

Aquarius rising is friendly on first meeting, but hard to place. People may notice something unconventional in your style, opinions or humor, and they may observe that you treat a stranger and a boss in much the same way. In new situations you look at the whole system first: how it works and what could work better. In a first meeting you can seem cooler than you feel, mostly because your attention is on the idea in front of you.

Mercury in Aquarius

Your best ideas often arrive sideways, from a connection nobody else thought to make. Mercury in Aquarius likes systems: you are more interested in why the household chore chart keeps failing than in who skipped the trash this week. A complaint about one noisy neighbor can turn, in your hands, into a theory about how every apartment building should be run. An unpopular opinion doesn't worry you if you reasoned your way to it. You can change your mind, but it takes a better argument, not a louder one.

Venus in Aquarius

Many of your closest bonds started as friendships, and that is probably how you like it. Venus in Aquarius goes for people who are a bit unusual, like the coworker who builds synthesizers in the garage. You need space to be yourself with a partner and hand out the same freedom easily. Grand romantic gestures make you squirm. Being treated as an equal feels far more like love. People sometimes read your independence as distance, when it is closer to respect.

Mars in Aquarius

Being told that something is simply how it's done is the quickest way to get you asking why. Principle moves you more than authority does: you push back against rules that seem arbitrary, you'd happily organize the petition that changes the office policy, and you work well in a team as long as nobody gives orders for the sake of it. In a fight you get cooler instead of hotter. Your voice levels out, you start talking about the issue as if it were a case study, and whoever you're arguing with can end up feeling they've lost you entirely.

Pisces

Sun in Pisces

A Pisces Sun often has a porous sense of self. You may absorb the moods of people around you, pick up on atmospheres quickly and find identity in imagination, art or care for others. The line between your feelings and someone else's can blur, which is a source of real empathy and of occasional overwhelm. Quiet and solitude help you find your outline again. A question to keep handy: which of the feelings you are carrying today started with someone else?

Moon in Pisces

The Moon in Pisces is deeply receptive. You may sense what other people feel before they mention it, and need regular time alone, perhaps near water, with music or with something imaginative, to clear what you have absorbed. Harsh environments wear you down quickly. Compassion is a need as much as a gift: you want to help, and you want to be met with the same gentleness. Saying no, kindly, is part of looking after yourself.

Pisces rising

Pisces rising often gives a soft, gentle or dreamy first impression. People sometimes confide in you within minutes of meeting, because you seem to understand without much explanation. Your way into a new situation is to feel it out and go with the current until a direction makes sense. This adaptability helps when things are uncertain, though others may be left unsure what you actually want, so say it plainly when it counts.

Mercury in Pisces

Pictures and impressions shape your thinking more than straight lines do. Astrology links Mercury in Pisces with imagination and a feel for what goes unsaid, so you often pick up on someone's mood before they find the words. Directions and exact figures slip away easily, yet you can describe a place you visited once so well that listeners feel they were there. When a discussion turns tense, you can soak up everyone's feelings so completely that you lose track of the point you came to make. Writing gives those impressions time to settle, and a letter from you can say what a conversation couldn't.

Venus in Pisces

You see the best in people quickly, sometimes before they have shown it. Venus in Pisces can fall for potential, the version of someone they might be on a good day, and stay loyal to that picture long after friends have stopped nodding along. The music and films you love most are the ones that make you cry on the bus. You give freely, to partners, friends and every collection envelope going around the office. The line between caring for someone and rescuing them blurs easily. Is it the person you love, or the person you hope they'll become?

Mars in Pisces

Your drive rises and falls with how much something matters to you, and it is hard to fake. Direct confrontation is draining, so you might go quiet, change the subject or slip out of the room. Seeing a younger sibling or a stray dog treated badly, though, can bring out a firmness that surprises people. Competition leaves you cold. Your best effort tends to show up when nobody is keeping score.
