Terms of use

The short version

• The calculators are free to use, with no account.
• Readings are for entertainment and self-reflection. They are not advice.
• We test the calculations carefully, but we can't guarantee that every result is right for you.
• Please don't copy the readings to other sites or hammer the site with automated requests.

By using this site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

Astrology is not advice

Astrology content on this site is for entertainment and self-reflection only. It does not predict events and is not a substitute for medical, legal, financial or other professional advice.

The readings describe how astrologers traditionally interpret a placement. Please don't base decisions about your health, money or legal matters on them. Talk to a qualified professional instead.

Accuracy of results

We check the calculations against a reference ephemeris (see how accuracy is checked) and show the UTC offset used for your birth time so you can check it. Even so, a result can only be as good as the date, time and place you enter, and historical time zone records are incomplete for some places, especially before 1970.

The site and everything it calculates are provided as they are, without any warranty that they are correct, complete or suitable for a particular purpose.

Your birth details

We never send your birth date and time to our servers. The privacy policy explains what happens to the data you enter and to the standard request data our host receives.

Using the site fairly

You can use the calculators for yourself, for friends and family, and in your own astrology practice. Charts and PDF reports you create are yours to keep, print and share.

Please don't scrape the site, send large numbers of automated requests, or try to interfere with how it works.

Our content and other people's

The text on this site, including the readings, belongs to Birth Chart Now. You're welcome to quote a short passage with a link back to the page it came from. Please don't republish readings or whole sections elsewhere.

The calculator uses open-source software and place data under their own licenses, listed on the About page. Links to other websites are there for your convenience. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for them.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss or damage that comes from using this site or relying on its results. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be excluded.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms, for example if we add paid features or advertising. When we do, we'll change the date at the top. Questions: see the contact page.
